Tzveta’s HTML Practice

I managed to use this feature, however, I can’t change the header. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong.

I like the fact you can change the colour, I wanted to do it in my posts, but I didn’t know how. However, I think this is difficult to to it when you are writing. I’m used to using Microsof Word where you just select and change the colour.

I don`t know how to select just the words, instead of the whole line. Now I got it, just chaging p and writting span. Thanks Keith.

  1. Hi Tzveta,

    It looks like you’ve got the handle of much of HTML. The header at the very top of the post is from the ‘title’ box on the post editing page. Try out the <h1>, <h2> etc. tags in the body of your post to see them working.

    To apply a style to just one piece of text use the tags <span></span> (ie. <span style=”color:red;”>here’s some red text</span>), this ‘inline’ element doesn’t force a new line on the page and can be nested within a paragraph <p> or list <li> or any other text or container tag.

  3. Hi Keith, I understood and about the p and span. But the thing about the heading, there’s something wrong I think. You gave 6 different heading, but as you can see on my post I just get 3 types of heading. Am I doing something wrong?
