I chose to make an audio clip a relaxation exercise. I am teaching a yoga option (I am not anywhere near qualified to be doing this) however, we always do at least 10 minutes of relaxation at the end of class. I always just go onto youtube and use a clip, there are many to choose from.
For this activity, I found a script on the internet for mindful meditation and I went to free sound to get the relaxation music. I made a short sample clip but I will make a full version and try it out on my class.
Hi Steve,
This is a good example of layering one track over another. You could probably suppress the opening sound level for a smoother start, either by using a fade-in or just clipping it.
Hi Steve,
I like the way you added the music in the background. The contrasting volumes of the audio and the music seem to work quite nicely. You’ll have to let us know if it’s a hit with your yoga class!

Hi Steve,
Layering your voice over the music was a nice touch. I use to do mini-meditations like this with my students in grade one when they needed to calm down and focus. I have never done them with my grade nines, but there are days they could definitely use them!
