Introduction
Hello everyone.
I am both nervous and excited for the course. It is my second course in the program and still not quite sure what to expect. I am also not the best at technology. This is one area in my professional development that I need to work on.
I have a BA in Mathematics and an MA in Mathematics Education. I have been teaching for almost eighteen years now, ten of those years in an IB World school in the Philippines where I served as the head of the mathematics department. I moved to Canada eight years ago with my husband and five of my six children. My family is very happy here and grateful for the opportunities our new home has given us.
I am presently teaching at an IB World School in Vancouver. This year I teach Mathematics 6 and 7 as well as Science 8. I am looking forward to applying what I learn in this course to my classes.
I love to travel with my family and make it a point to do so during my spring breaks and summers.

Hi Angela,
Great to see you here in the course. That sounds like a lot of courses to be handling in a school year – I hope you get some prep time.
I think you should feel free to pipe up if you find something on the technical side here that is assuming some prior knowledge you don’t have. Comment on a page (even the course site pages can host comments) or email me. My goal is that everything that is important here be doable by someone who feels comfortable with email.
